Attended Japanese high school and finished in March 2020. Was very lucky to be able to be a member of a very good team of runners at my high school, even though I was injured most of the time and was not able to be much of a contributor. Am currently doing an Engineering internship at a large manufacturer of Automotive transmissions, etc. It is really exciting. In spring of 2021, if COVID-19 has subsided, I am planning to serve an LDS mission, after which I plan to go to college and study Engineering.

AM: Ran 6 easy miles. Was going to run 10, but have to go to work today, so I decided to cut it short.

PM: Ran 6 easy miles.

Wen to my job today. I got assigned to the Engineering Group 3, Section 4. This group does work on improving manufacturing processes of automotive transmissions. Sounds interesting.

How does your body not collapse with such high weekly mileage?? I know my body couldn't handle it!

Zack..I have worked up to it slowly. Most of my runs right now are low intensity, with a couple of hard workouts a week.

i am training for a half marathon in November (if it doesn't get cancelled). I have never run a half marathon before. I found a training schedule of a famous female Japanese runner and Japanese female half marathon record holder. I have been trying to adapt her training as much as possible. It is a lot of mileage.

I don't normally like to do a lot of long mileage, but I am trying it out this time for the half marathon.

I am gradually increasing the mileage until I reach about 30 km a day (18 miles a day). That is what the Japanese runner does.

That's quite a lot! Make sure to be careful so you don't get hurt or burned out!
